WECOME TO STREAM TRACKER
Here is the basic idea of how to stream track
This project is open to anyone!
This project is nation-wide. No sites near you- no problem! Create your own!
Download the anecdata.org mobile app, create an account and join Stream Tracker
Visit established sites or create new sites to add to the network. Look for small streams that intersect roads or trails.
Use the anecdata.org mobile app or a paper datasheet to record your observation of flow condition at smaller stream channels throughout the year.
Whenever you are out hiking, biking, driving, walking, working, or enjoying the landscapes you love.

Using the mobile app
Stream Tracker utilizes the anecdata.org mobile app for field data collection. Learn how to join the project, collect data, add new sites, visit establish sites, and upload your observations- all just using your smartphone.
Locating or creating sites
What does a stream tracker site look like? What do I look for if I am creating a new site? What do I record once I have found a site? Click here to learn how to identify and locate stream tracker sites.
Stream Tracking without a mobile phone
You can still stream track using good ol' paper and pencil. Learn how to collect data and enter data using methods other than the mobile application.
