Trail description: Start this hike from the Big South Trailhead off Highway 14. The full trail is a moderate hike 10.4 miles one way however the 14 Stream Tracker sites are all within the first 3.3 miles. The trail takes you along the headwaters of the Poudre River. Stream Tracker hotspot BS 11 will be a wooden bridge crossing May Creek leaving only 3 more hotspots past this. Prior to hiking the trail, download the Anecdata.org mobile app to your phone when you have Wi-fi or cell service, create an account, then search and join Stream Tracker. Before hiking the trail, familiarize yourself with how to navigate to a hotspot and how to log an observation.
